Vacation!!! :) with a small problem :(

So in about a week, I will be heading out on a nice road trip to Kenora,  Ontario to fish Lake of the Woods. I have been looking forward to this trip for quite awhile but there's one small problem (SHH!!! don't tell anyone) in the thirteen years I've been fishing I have never gone bass fishing. Partly due to the lack of bass in southern Alberta and partly due to the fact I have been raised a trout wrangler. I was hoping I could get some tips on how to catch bass and muskie.

For most of us this goes  without saying, but there are a few bad apples.

Well, that was a real crapsicle of a weekend and a day off. It only snowed 1.5 cm! Is it actually June?! I guess it was still May...30th! That was the first time it has snowed in Calgary at the end of May since sometime in the 1800s. That was ny last weekend to hit the water before my exams finish. Hopefully i'll have some new fish to write about then.

Happy fishing

May Long Weekend = Success

So I guess I can say I had a good long weekend opening on Friday with a massive trophy Brown Trout of 8.2lbs on Glenmore and then got to go and hook up with some gators at Travers. I think the most rewarding thing was being able to go experience nature with some of my best friends in the whole world. I think in the world of TV and video games we've confused the things that connect us and the things that keep us together. So if you can i think everyone of us should take someone new fishing and help us share our wonderful passion. Next week I'm thinking of going sturgeon wrangling on the Red Deer River. But until then peace out.
