Hitting the road soon

Posted by swese44 in Untagged

I've been in Seattle working at Amazon for the last 10 months. My contract is up and I'll be hitting the road soon. I'm gonna slowly make my way across the state and hit some good fishing holes. I'll stop in and see my grandparents in Idaho, then make my way up to Montana.

Fishing Maps Improved: Now auto-zooms to your current location!

Posted by swese44 in location , google maps , fishing reports , fishing maps

swese44

I've made a few improvements to the fishing reports / fishing maps page. Now when you browse to the maps it will try to figure out your current location based on your computer's IP address. It will then center the map to your location so you can see fish being caught in your immediate area.

FellowFishermen.com is now fully integrated with Twitter! Every time you add a new catch, the site will create a tweet on Twitter.com. It will tell the world what kind of fish you caught, what size it was (if you gave that info), and where you caught it (if you shared the location). The tweet will also include a link to your catch, and a link to your Twitter account (if you provided your Twitter account username in your profile settings).
