| Description | My day on the water had been a busy one, I had boated 20+ Walleye and Sauger and a Smallmouth Bass. Most of these fish had fallen in the 1-2lb range. When i set the hook on this mule, I could immediately feel the weight difference. After netting the fish, my guide, Shawn, noticed the bulge of a perch or walleye sitting in its stomach (look right below the gill), but the more astonishing part to this fish was another fish had tried to eat it! (See red mark below the gill.) Earlier in the day we had seen a four foot musky jump thirty feet away from the boat, probably eating a fish that we had wounded earlier. At the end of the day I had boated 25-30 fish while my dad caught 20-25 and our guide caught 35-40. In the end probably my most memorable fishing day. |
