Coming Soon: Fishing Reports!

For quite a while now I have been wanting to create a Fishing Reports section here on FellowFishermen.com. I've been holding off until I had time to really create a great system for managing Fishing Reports. Well this week I finished designing an awesome Fishing Reports system, and it should be finished and up on FellowFishermen.com within a couple weeks! Read on to see how cool this is going to be!

The biggest hurdle was figuring out how to manage Locations. It would have been a nightmare for me to try and create every possible fishing location for your Fishing Reports, so instead each Location will be created automatically. If you create a fishing report for a new Location, it will automatically get linked up to its location.

Now the exciting part about Locations is that we will be able to use them for much more than just Fishing Reports! Soon there will be a new section on your User Profile page called "My Locations." You will be able to add all of your favorite fishing spots to your list of My Locations, and see the local fishing reports and catches from your locations directly from your Profile page. Eventually you'll even be able to find and meet up with other anglers who fish the same places you do! You'll also be able to subscribe to email updates for new fishing reports at your favorite locations.

There are a few other features I haven't mentioned yet, and some really cool opportunities will open up in the future as well. Keep an eye on FellowFishermen.com in the next couple of weeks for Fishing Reports!
