Fishing Report for 08/30/2011
Nice, clear lake with tons of Trout. Too bad I snapped my leader on my fly rod, cause they were loving that. Spinners would get their attention but they were hesitant to bite but a few did. I've used worms before and a small barb-less hook and that is usually the best way to go. The lake seems real shallow (about 2 foot in most places) but could be deeper in the middle. I'd need a float tube to be sure. Would not be a bad investment for the area. It is pretty marshy and mosquito infested. Lots of other alpine lakes withing 5 miles, and it would be nice to have a tube to get away from the trees if fly fishing.
