Fishing Report for 10/28/2010
There is a barge that is now in the mission bay channel with pipes that extend around the western point. Lots of noise and turbulence in the water so the fish are pretty spooked. I would suggest switching to finesse lures or fly fish.
Fishing Report for 09/16/2010
Looks like i finally had the worst fishing day ever at Mission Bay. Got there just after high tide around 5:30. Tried a few different bait with no action. The only bite was on a piece of cut bait octopus. I know there were fish there since the minnows would take flight sometimes. Did manage to get one good hit on a small minnow swim bait.

Good day of fishing. Caught an Octopus (which is now my new pet), Bat Ray, and 5 Barred Sand Bass. The fish seem to be biting anything thrown into the water.

This is a great location for Sand Bass, Halibut and Rays. There are great places along the banks due to the abundance of eel grass.
