Fishing Report for 07/21/2011
Got to the reservoir around 1130am. Fishing was slow at first. Caught only a couple small Bass in the first couple hours. Bass fishing really started picking up around 5pm. Using green weightless Senko I caught several Bass virtually back to back. All less than 12 inches until... around 7pm I changed to a blue senko and decided to fish next to the spillway. First cast I landed a 5LB 10oz Largemouth. Took pics and released her. 15 minutes later I moved to the dock closest to the spillway and landed another 4LB 6oz Largemouth. Also took pics and released. After that I called it a day and headed home. Went out next day and didnt catch a thing.

Got on the water about 530pm. Shore fishing, no boat. Tried a spinnerbait off the dock with no luck. Switched to Senko and caught a small Bass. Moved to pond across the street and caught 6 Bass. First Bass hit my senko on topwater while it dragged across some weeds. He was about 1.5lbs. Also caught another 5 smaller Bass using the same technique. No big ones but still a lot of fun.
Brown Senko, Texas rigged weedless.

This reservoir is beautiful it is out in the sticks but worth the drive. The lake has a fair amount of weeds, but nothing you cant work around. It is best if you have a boat. We caught trout, bass, blue gill, and crappie.
