Fishing Report for 06/19/2011
Went out to Stampede Reservoir on father's day on the pontoon boat. Weather in Reno was supposed to be 75+ degrees but the wind was blowing very hard at the lake, making us wish we brought heavier coats. Set up four poles with wedding rings, white shoepeg corn, spoons and lures. Had two on a downrigger set at 20-25 ft at first. Caught one 13 inch Kokanee at 20 ft within an hour. That was it for the whole 4 hours. Fish finder was reading fish at 50-60 ft so we dropped down and still no bites. Couldn't find many schools of fish. I think it's all about finding where they're at. Beautiful lake though, lots of trees and camping areas.
