Fishing Report for 08/16/2010

Rating: Good (4/5)
Same as the upper reservoir - This time I rented a small rowboat to get out into the lake, but nothing. I tried the deeper spots with catfish and carp baits, as well as nightcrawlers with no takers. Spinnerbaits, soft plastics and lipless crankbaits around clumps of vegetation turned up empty. But breadballs and nightcrawlers around the gazebo area and you could fill buckets with the bluegill!

Fishing Report for 08/15/2010

Rating: Not Good (2/5)
Same as reservoir 1 - the big difference being at the north end of the reservoir there is a huge carp population that was active for the entire two hours I was there - I just couldn't reach them by casting from shore. Hopefully getting out in a little rowboat does the trick.

Same as the upper reservoir, but with more deep water, the bite was a little better. If fishing from shore, try to get a worm or live bait out as far as you can. If fishing from a rowboat, stay around the midlake areas for a decent bite.
